ABOUT FEES & Cancellations

Our practice is committed to providing accessible imaging, the most modern equipment and well-trained staff.

Fees

With a GP or Specialist Referral:

  • For Medicare card holders, we bulk bill Bone Mineral Density (BMD) scans only, provided you have a valid GP or Specialist referral. Speak to your referring doctor about getting a referral for the appropriate scan in order to be bulk billed.


Without a Referral:

  • If you do not have a GP or Specialist referral specifically requesting a BMD scan, you will not be bulk billed. Only a BMD scan has an associated Medicare item number and is eligible for bulk billing.
  • All DEXA scans / studies, as well as BMD scans without a referral, will attract our self-funded (out-of-pocket) fee, which is currently $99.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel an appointment, please telephone our clinic during business hours and allow at least 24 – 48 hours’ notice so that we can offer your appointment time to other patients that are eagerly waiting.

Same-day cancellations may attract a cancellation fee, which would need to be paid before further services are offered.
